Land Use Litigation
Our litigation attorneys routinely work hand in hand with our land use attorneys and land planners to fully represent our clients before City, County, State and other regulatory commissions and government bodies. As litigation counsel, we help craft the strategy to obtain approvals for our clients and preserve the record to pursue any and all applicable appeals and/or litigation options. We also represent certain government entities when appropriate.
In addition to work before Commissions and Councils, our litigation team is experienced in the pursuit of extraordinary remedies such as petitions for writs of certiorari and writs of mandamus in relation to certain government actions. We also have experience in the growing area of the Bert J. Harris, Jr. Private Property Rights Protection Act and the pursuit of administrative challenges including the review of comprehensive plans and land development codes.
In essence, we address a very wide yet specialized area of land use litigation matters involving property development and rights from a variety of perspectives.
