MARY F. SMALLWOOD RECEIVES THE BILL SADOWSKI MEMORIAL PUBLIC SERVICE AWARD

WEST PALM BEACH  Mary F. Smallwood, Esq., partner in the law firm of Ruden, McClosky, Smith, Schuster & Russell, P.A., recently received the Bill Sadowski Memorial Public Service Award in recognition of her outstanding record of public service in environmental and land use law. The Florida Bar Continuing Legal Education Committee and the Environmental and Land Use Law Section made the presentation to Ms. Smallwood at the 2003 Environmental and Land Use Law Annual Update held on Amelia Island, August 21-23, 2003.

A Tallahassee resident, Ms. Smallwood concentrates her practice in the area of environmental law. She represents a variety of private and public sector clients in matters including groundwater remediation for petroleum contamination, federal Superfund cleanups, dredge and fill permitting, air pollution, and surface water management.

A graduate of the University of Florida, Ms. Smallwood received her law degree from Florida State University in 1977. She has lectured extensively and authored various publications in the areas of land use, environmental and administrative law.
