RUDEN, MCCLOSKY PARTNER DEBORAH BERKOWITZ ELECTED TO BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF ARTSERVE

FT. LAUDERDALE  Deborah T. Berkowitz, Esq., a partner in the law firm of Ruden, McClosky, Smith, Schuster & Russell, P.A., was recently elected to the Board of Trustees of ArtServe, the premiere provider of training programs, resources and state-of-the-art facilities to the arts and culture community in South Florida. Her term runs from October 1, 2003-September 30, 2005.

A member of the Firm's Intellectual Property Practice Group, Ms. Berkowitz concentrates her practice in trademark and copyright matters, computer law and unfair competition matters. She has extensive experience in trademark searching and clearance, counseling and rendering opinions on the protection, validity and infringement of intellectual property and litigation support.

A graduate of Brandeis University, Ms. Berkowitz received her law degree from Brooklyn Law School. She is currently an active member of the Entertainment, Arts and Sports Law Section of the Florida Bar.
