Mr. Matlow has over 9 years of litigation experience in State and Federal Courts. His employment litigation experience includes successfully responding to, mediating, and, when appropriate, resolving EEOC investigations involving State and Federal discrimination including sexual harassment, race discrimination, ADA and retaliation.
On behalf of employers and staffing companies, he has successfully litigated discrimination claims, whistleblower claims, wage claims, and successfully handled ex parte temporary restraining order hearings, preliminary injunction hearings involving breach of non-compete agreements and misappropriation of trade secrets. He frequently writes articles for Ruden’s Labor & Employment Law newsletter concerning new legal developments.

In 1998, he served as a law clerk for the Honorable Robert L. Shevin at the Third District Court of Appeals in Miami.
While in law school, Mr. Matlow was an Associate Editor of the Inter-American Law Review and was featured in the 1999-2000 edition of Who's Who of American Law Students.
Prior to law school, Mr. Matlow served as a legislative intern for the New York State Legislature.
In addition to his practice, Mr. Matlow dedicates his time to numerous associations and community organizations and has been recently accepted as a member of the 2009-2010 Class of the Horizon’s Leadership Program of the Jewish Federation of Broward County.
Recent Accomplishments
- Obtained an order staying lawsuit re-filed by opposing party pending its payment of client's attorney's fees and costs.
- Successfully resolved EEOC investigations and mediations.
- Obtained a favorable administrative determination by the EEOC in a race and retaliation claim.
- Obtained summary judgment in a construction lien action by establishing that the lien was fraudulent.
- Obtained summary judgment in a usury action arising from a partnership agreement.
- Obtained a temporary restraining order in an action involving breach of non-compete agreements and misappropriation of trade secrets.
- Obtained final judgment upon opposing party's breach of settlement agreement.
- Obtained a dismissal based on the plaintiff's discovery abuse.
- Compelled a plaintiff to produce financial records in connection with its lost profits claim.
- Defended subpoena of documents on behalf of non-party client.
- Defeated opposing counsel's effort to disqualify expert witnesses.
- Obtained judgment at trial for employer against former employee.
- Obtained final judgment against opposing party for 100% of attorney's fees incurred by client.
- Obtained an order finding opposing party in contempt of court based on discovery violations.
