Mr. Lacasa concentrates his practice in government relations, land use, zoning matters and general business transactions with a special focus on international acquisition, development and finance projects. He represents banks, developers, importers, exporters and principals in projects typically requiring the regulatory approval of foreign governments and agencies.

Mr. Lacasa is a former Chairman of the Little Havana Development Committee and a former member of the Economic Opportunity Board of Dade County and the Dade County Boundaries Committee.

A past City of Miami Commissioner and Vice Mayor, Mr. Lacasa previously served as secretary of the Association of Hispanic Investment Bankers and as director of the Spanish-American Basic Education and Rehabilitation program (S.A.B.E.R.), a U.S. Department of Labor-funded program focusing on the development of vocational skills for Spanish-speaking members of the Miami community.
