Mr. Godwin focuses his practice in the representation of physicians, hospitals, clinical laboratories, pharmacies, pharmaceutical wholesalers, durable medical equipment companies, and other parties in the health care industry before regulatory bodies and liability defense.  He assists these clients in compliance with federal and state regulations, licensure and in negotiating business relationships with other providers and vendors.  He has represented hospitals in issues involving peer review. He currently sits on a local inistitutional review board overseeing studies involving human subjects. He has experience in litigation with government agencies, facilities and others involving health care providers and entities.   

Mr. Godwin also has experience in commercial litigation, representing several clients in contractual disputes.  He represents various clients regarding property tax and agricultural zoning appeals.   

Mr. Godwin is a frequent lecturer on subjects of professional discipline, administrative law, compliance issues, peer review and institutional review boards.  He has published articles in the Hillsborough County Bar Association Journal, Central Florida Medical News, and Tampa Bay Business Journal.
