A member of the Firm’s Land Use Practice Group, Mr. Mullin concentrates his practice on land use, zoning, environmental and governmental law and sustainable development, and green building design practices. He represents clients seeking development approvals from various local, regional and state agencies including comprehensive plan amendments, developments of regional impact, rezonings, site plans, plats and environmental permits.
Mr. Mullin is certified as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP) by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). Obtaining the LEED Professional Accreditation distinguishes building professionals with the knowledge and skills to successfully steward the LEED green building certification process. LEED APs have demonstrated a thorough understanding of green building practices and principles and the LEED Green Building Rating System. At the time he passed, Mr. Mullin was one of sixteen attorneys in the State of Florida (1 of 56 in the U.S.) to be certified as a LEED AP.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Mullin was a civil engineer with Calvin, Giordano & Associates in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
While in law school, Mr. Mullin was the Managing Editor of the ILSA Journal of International and Comparative Law, in which his article “AIDS, Anthrax, and Compulsory Licensing: Has the United States Learned Anything? A Comment on Recent Decisions on the International Intellectual Property Rights of Pharmaceutical Patents,” 9 ILSA J. INT’L & COMP. L. 185, (2002) was published. Additionally, Mr. Mullin was the Administrative Editor of the Moot Court Honor Society and participated in two traveling team competitions.
