Mr. Dart focuses on all phases of real property law including negotiation and drafting of commercial leases, option contracts, purchase and sale agreements and representation of community associations and homeowners associations. He has extensive experience in examination of titles to real estate, as well as issuance of title insurance for both residential and commercial properties. He also represents area financial institutions in all types of commercial loan transactions. He has been Board Certified in Real Estate Law by the Florida Bar since 1987.
Mr. Dart has developed proficiency in the representation of private golf and country clubs. He represents homeowners in the negotiation and drafting of documents related to the acquisition of golf courses and related facilities and their conversion to private clubs. This work includes various aspects of corporate, real estate and commercial law.
His activities in the real estate area include dealing with governmental agencies on land use matters. Mr. Dart appears before city and county commission and planning and zoning boards in connection with zoning and building matters. In addition, he regularly acts as counsel to homeowners' and condominium associations.
Mr. Dart continues to be involved in professional and civic activities. He previously served as Chairman of Sarasota County COMPASS, guiding over 300 volunteers in a county wide human services needs and resources assessment. This effort resulted in the formation of the Human Services Planning Association of Sarasota County for which he served as a founding Board member until its recent merger with SCOPE (Sarasota County Openly Plans for Excellence).
