Ms. Jarrett is a member of the Trusts and Estates Departments in the Guardianship and Probate Group, and focuses her practice on the administration of wills, trusts, and guardianships. She also handles real estate transactions related to the administration of wills, trusts, and guardianships. She was a summer associate with Ruden McClosky in 2006.
Prior to joining Ruden McClosky, Ms. Jarrett was a legal intern for a major television network, where she revised production and talent agreements. She was also a legal intern for a visual arts organization where she drafted and edited contracts including visual and musical artist agreements, and spearheaded the formation of its non-profit corporation for underprivileged artists.
During law school, Ms. Jarrett was the Senior Editor of the University of the District of Columbia Law Review. She was selected for UDC-DCSL’s Small Business Clinic where she drafted organizing documents to form limited liability companies and non-profit corporations. Ms. Jarrett also prepared an application for tax exemption recognition under I.R.C. § 501(c)(3), and researched federal trademark law to advise clients on trademark registration and infringement consequences.
