Mr. Allison has a broad litigation practice that includes commercial, land use, and real property litigation. Mr. Allison's commercial litigation experience includes contractual disputes, lender liability claims, and the enforcement/vacation of arbitration awards. His real property litigation experience includes title insurance and complex foreclosure matters. He also counsels and represents clients in matters of ad valorem taxation, including real and personal property tax challenges.
Mr. Allison began his legal career as a 2006 Ruden McClosky Summer Associate. During law school, he served as a Florida Bar Foundation Public Service Fellow, Student Works Editor of the Florida Journal of International Law, and as Vice President of the University of Florida Trial Team. He is also a member of Florida Blue Key.
Of Note
- In 2010, successfully represented the lender in foreclosing a thirteen acre industrial parcel in Martin County, Florida, in which the principal indebtedness was in excess of $4,900,000.
- In 2009, successfully petitioned the Court to vacate an arbitration award entered against an individual, which award was in excess of $400,000.
- In 2009, successfully obtained the vacation of an arbitration award entered against an individual and a corporate entity, which award (with interest) was in excess of $1,000,000.
- In 2008, represented the plaintiff in an arbitration arising from the breach of a stock option agreement, which resulted in a favorable settlement in favor of the plaintiff.
- From 2007-2010, Mr. Allison has successfully represented numerous property owners in valuation and exemption matters in both pre-hearing negotiations and in hearings before various magistrates, and in formal litigation.
