A member of the Firm’s litigation practice group, Ms. Hernandez practices Eminent Domain Law and Commercial Litigation and Arbitration with emphasis on business issues, creditor’s remedies, and judgment enforcement. She has successfully represented creditors in eminent domain matters, proceedings supplementary, and lien enforcement matters. Ms. Hernandez is a member of The Florida Bar and was a Summer Associate with Ruden McClosky.
Ms. Hernandez’s prior legal experience includes serving as a Certified Legal Intern at the University of Florida Virgil Hawkins Civil Clinic. She also served as a Judicial Intern for the Honorable Stephan P. Mickle, United States District Court Judge for the Northern District of Florida and as a Student Intern at the Eighth Judicial Circuit Court in Alachua County, Florida.
Prior to attending law school, Ms. Hernandez was employed by an international optics distributor where she provided Human Resources support to all levels of the company and was the company’s liaison to outside counsel on transactional and litigation matters including distributor and supplier contracts, risk management, intellectual property, and reorganization.
During law school, Ms. Hernandez was Executive Research Editor of the University of Florida Journal of Law and Public Policy and a member of the Florida Journal of International Law. She is also a graduate of the James C. Adkins Chapter of the American Inns of Court. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
