Admitted to practice law in Venezuela in 1993, Ms. Morales concentrates her legal practice in tax, corporate finance, corporate and economic law. She provides comprehensive counsel to national and international corporations engaged in a broad range of industries. Ms. Morales helps clients design feasible business plans, create workable solutions which comply with regulatory guidelines for business operations and identify potential obstacles to their business vision.
Ms. Morales previously served as an attorney for the Venezuelan Anti-dumping Commission. Her experience included participation in multidisciplinary groups on cases involving prosecution of illegal practices in international trade, such as dumping and subsidies. She represented Venezuelan at the Andean Commission Group of Experts in charge of regional anti-dumping rules.
Currently, Ms. Morales is a member of the Board of Directors of the Venezuelan Association of Financial Law (ASOVEDEFI) and an active member of the Tax Committee of the Venezuela-American Chamber for Industry and Trade (VENANCHAM).
Ms. Morales has practiced in the Corporate and Tax Departments of a major Venezuelan law firm located in Caracas. Previously, she was a legal assistant in the tax department of Deloitte and Touche and an attorney at the law firms of Norton Rose and Ashurst, Morris and Crisp, in London, England.
