Mr. Melo Lopez concentrates his legal practice in civil law, insurance law, corporate and commercial law. He previously served as General Counsel and Secretary of the Board of National Electricity Company (CADAFE) and as member of the board of Seguros Los Llanos and Seguros Arauca. He also served as a founding board member of Fondo de Valores Inmobiliario.
He has been a Professor of Law in Obligations, Contracts and Secured Transactions and Roman Law since 1986 at the Universidad Catolica Andres Bello. He served as Head of the Department of Obligations Law from 1997-2001.
