Ms. Berkowitz manages the Firm's Trademark Practice, and is a member of the Firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group. Ms. Berkowitz concentrates her practice in trademark, copyright, computer software, technology and Internet, licensing, unfair competition, and trade secrets matters. She has extensive experience in copyright and trademark registration prosecutions, clearance, counseling and rendering opinions on strategies for commercializing, licensing, identifying, protecting, registering, policing, enforcing, and managing intellectual property assets in the U.S. and worldwide. Ms. Berkowitz prosecutes domestic and international trademark applications and represents clients in inter partes proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Ms. Berkowitz represents clients in a broad spectrum of industries including apparel, cruise and travel, cultural arts, education, financial services, healthcare, hotel and restaurant, and manufacturing.

Professionally, Ms. Berkowitz is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA); International Trademark Association (INTA); International Business and Entertainment, Arts and Sports Law Sections of The Florida Bar; Broward County and Federal Bar Associations. She is also a member of the Broward County Women Lawyers' Association.

Ms. Berkowitz has received the Pro Bono Service Award for her outstanding contribution in the category of Arts Law to “Put Something Back,” a joint pro bono project of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit and the Dade County Bar Association.

Active in the community, Ms. Berkowitz currently serves on the Board of Directors of The Broward Alliance and Artserve, Inc. of Broward County. She is a member of the Executive Committee of the Balance Institute Conference for Businesswomen and a member of the Women's Fund of Miami-Dade County. Previously, she served on the Miami-Dade County Cultural Affairs Council Festivals/Special Events and Cultural Advancement Grants Panels.

Ms. Berkowitz is a Fellow of Brandeis University. While in law school, Ms. Berkowitz was Editor of the Brooklyn Law School Journal of International Law.
