Ms. Morinelli concentrates her practice in employer/employee relations, litigation and litigation management and alternative dispute resolution. A former General Counsel and Vice President of Human Resources for both national and international corporations and as Assistant County Attorney and employee Relations Director in the public sector, she has extensive experience in labor contract negotiation and interpretation, grievance procedures and arbitrations, and employment-related litigation including issues such as discrimination, civil rights, wrongful termination and hiring. She also has experience in all aspects of employment relations, benefits, recruiting, development and training, EEO/AAP and compensation including FLSA, FMLA, ERISA, Executive Order 11246, NLRA, Title VII, ADA, ADEA, WARN and local fair employment standards.
As General Counsel, she has hands-on experience in managing a corporate legal department and responsibility for a variety of legal matters including labor, employment, and corporate law issues. This includes contract negotiations, mergers and acquisitions, commercial litigation, civil rights, compensation and benefit plan administration, securities filings, non-compete agreements, and executive employment and termination agreements.
Ms. Morinelli is a Florida Supreme Court Certified County and Civil Circuit Court Mediator, a mediator and arbitrator for the Federal District Court for the Middle District of Florida and is certified as both Chairperson and as a Panel Member Arbitrator by NASD Dispute Resolution, Inc.
Ms. Morinelli is the author of the chapter entitled "Labor Management Cooperation; Dispute Resolution in the Non Union Shop' in Labor and Employment Law in Florida, Law, Policy & Practice, Vol. 2 by W. Gary Vause, Esq. She is also a frequent lecturer on employment related topics and alternative dispute resolution.
Ms. Morinelli also studied French language and culture at the American College in Leysin, Switzerland in 1971. In addition to her current involvment in numerous professional organizations, she has served on the Board of Directors for the Sarasota County Bar Association and as the Co-Chairperson of its ADR Section and Labor & Employment Sections.
