Ms. Austin concentrates her practice in real estate, condominium, and construction law. She has had two articles published. One article she co-authored with Mark Grant: 'RIS Investment Group, Inc. v. Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Division of Florida Land Sales, Condominiums, and Mobile Homes: Condominium Associations Cheated: The Fourth District Denies Assessments Imposed Upon Developer-Owned Unconstructed Condominium Units,' 22 Nova LR 437 (Fall 1997). The other article Ms. Austin wrote is entitled, 'Bennis v. Michigan: Does the Innocent Owner Have a Defense to Civil Forfeiture?' 21 Nova L.Rev. 685 (Winter 1997).
While in law school Ms. Austin was a member of the Moot Court Society and served as Articles Editor, 1997, and Lead Articles Editor, 1997-98, of the Nova Law Review. She was also a member of Phi Delta Phi Honor fraternity and served as a Goodwin Research Assistant.
